I paid over £400 for mine back in 2007, and while it's a good receiver that's all it is - a receiver. I had to buy speakers separately, and it doesn't support HD video, so it's pretty much relegated to audio amplification (which it does pretty well - or it did before it buggered up and I had to take it in!) Just goes to show how much these things have improved in the last 5 years, and how the price has come down. If you try to use them with a PC they're crippled. The iPod has gotten easier to use with the PC, especially since iTunes 10 came out, along with the new iPod drivers, but trying to get iTunes to do anything other than sync music (transfer videos, photos etc) often causes it to hang.
